UAA has several departments working on quality initiatives to foster excellence in classroom, blended, and online teaching and learning.

UAA Academic Innovation and eLearning (AI&e) supports the UAA learning environment by fostering quality instructional practices, innovations and technologies.  We provide training, support, and innovative development for both faculty and students.

We coordinate the Alaska System Quality Matters program, the Robust Online Learning Grant (ROLL), eWolf ePortfolios, and eLearning Distance Student Services, our Distance Student & Faculty Services.

The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) uses a colleague-to-colleague model to promote excellence and innovation in teaching and learning. CAFE programs include Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), Difficult Dialogues, Team Based Learning (TBL), and a variety of faculty career support options and workshops each year.
